Unlike Surprise, the 2020 Shiner team is loaded with young talent and should remain competitive. However, there are opportunities for improvement. Most notably SP, RP, CF, C, and maybe RF. I'll list some potential trade bait below. Batters: Raimel Tapia, Jose Peraza, Martin Maldonado, Billy...

After 6 straight seasons with at least 111 wins, it's time for the Surprise Zombies to take a break...and break up their team. So, who's available? The short answer is "anyone but the precious few players younger than 25", but when have you ever known me to settle for the short answer? Therefore, I'...

That's right! It's time to announce the results of Ye Olde Draft Lottery for the 2020 ARBA IOD! FEEL THE EXCITEMENT! Once again, YOC has one of his teams in the bottom 5, so I'm forced to conduct this again. It had better not end up with him getting the top pick again... This is truly one of the most gloriou...

Looking for 2b and outfield. Also looking to upgrade at ss over forced current starter Machado (tired of missed x chances on a 3 ss). Looking to move Tony Watson, Matt Wieters, and Manny Machado (in the right deal for a ss). Always interested in picks and prospects as well.

Aaron

Bali will be looking to upgrade our offense this year, after coming up just short in our life's mission. I totally forgot to post this, but Max Scherzer pitched a No Hitter at Rome in the first week of the season, causing fans of the Umpire to gripe "why can't we get player like that?" (Scherzer once played in Rome).

I'm not sure if this is more or less impressive than Nola's no-hitter for GAL, but the pitching giants of TER (current team ERA 5.12) managed to throw 9 no-hit innings on the road at Diego Garcia, with nominal started Jose Lopez going 3 innings followed up 5 frames from The Inexplicable Matt Moore, then...

In game 6 of GAL@SPR, Aaron Nola pitched 8 hitless innings, though he walked 6. Ryan Buchter then pitched the 9th, walking the leadoff man and then getting a double play and another groundout to preserve the combined no hitter. GAL got 4 homers, 2 by Markakis, and won the game 10-0.

While we wait for the waiver draft to get going again, I'll plug Chris Gimenez again. After adding Briceno, SUR somehow has 5 guys who are primarily catchers and no longer has room on the 32-man roster for Gimenez. Although his stats don't support this, his actual card is great vs. LHP with 50% OB and g...
