Springfield, after sucking for several seasons, might actually be ready to crawl out of their cave and compete this year, but needs help at C, 3B, 2B (vs RHP) and bullpen.
The main trade chip here is either Willy Adames, who posted a .735 OPS as a 23-year-old SS, or Marcus Semien, a solid SS coming off a career year at age 28 (892 OPS). Happy to keep both of them, but would trade one for a legit star at a position of need.
I also have excess starts and could trade Jason Vargas (B1 contract for a SP with a 751 OPS against) for comparable short-term help at a position of need.
