I've a vacation planned soon and expect to catch a game or two between the Hagerstown Suns and the Asheville Tourists. Let me know if there is anyone you want a report on, but bear in mind I'm not a baseball scout, I just play one in a Strat league.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Cooperstown Baseball League has two openings now. Doug Frye filled an opening earlier in the season. This is a great league for you sickos who can't get enough of the prospect stuff. This league is structured like MLB and features a 40 man r...

In an unbelievable deja vu situation, Doug Davis again found himself with a no-hit bid versus Humble. This time the home fan support (all 1,052 of them) was a bit of an extra kick, and Doug avoided several 20% double chances on his card to close out the 3-0 win, allowing no baserunners after the 6t...

In game 6 of the series SOS @ SPR, Serenity starter Gil Meche didn't allow a hit through four innings. He then walked the bases loaded with two out in the fifth, and that left him fatigued, so I brought in Brad Thompson. Boy that felt weird- yanking a starter who had a no-hitt...

Doug Davis was on in series 7 at Humble taking a no hitter into the 9th. With 2 out in the 9th Davis faced Carlos Lee for the no hit bid. Unfortunately Lee hit a double off Davis and was followed up with another hit to lose the shutout. Oh so close!

CM and instructions for series are due within 48 hours of the posting of league stats from previous series. GM who needs or wants to play a series early may give commissioner and road GM 7 days' notice of intent to play series early and must allow road GM 72 hours to send instructions.

I have posted, within the "Past Seasons" section, the IODs from 1997-2001 (and also fixed the previously-busted link to the 2004 IOD). Since those drafts were before the Net was what it is today, I had to scan in hard-copy documents to be posted, so you will need Adobe Acrobat to read them. I be...

IF you aren't getting your Strat fix met soley by ARBA and want to join another league my other league has openings. THis league is ARBA on steroids. Try 40 man rosters plus 6 level minor league system. Each level with a 25 man roster. Yes, 150+ minor leaguer's. ...

Figures...first time since I've been in ARBA that I own the top prospect in the minors and he also turns out to be the biggest **** in the minors. I hope he gets suspended for the season.

Yet in another shameless attempt to generate some activity on this board, I humbly submit depth Charts for my team. Jose Bautista and Russell Martin both got called up to the majors this weekend. You will also notice I have no full-time 2b at this point heading to next year. Ft Worth Bulldoggers...

Okay now that Sickles has come out, I present Top 10's as I posted before with Sickles ratings. Now I don't have the book and have relied on the website. Any guys I have that are not rated due to this feel free to inform their rating. Note that on the website he has updated/chamged some...

Dave

is available on the Strat website...http://www.strat-o-matic.com/patch.html Don't know if anyone else had trouble but I couldn't import series 3 results. Installing the patch fixed the problem. Everyone should download and install the patch so we are all current.

I finish up with the southern division. Thanks for the feedback. I do this for fun and to keep me awake on my midshifts.

I move on to the central divsion of the federal league

Nebraska wins 6-0. Johnny Dorn (unowned) just totally dominated the Texas lineup. Lefthanders got some decent swings against him driving balls to the fence that were eventually caught. Drew Stubbs (HUM) did stroke a line drive double to right center and Preston Clark (HOU) redshirt freshman catc...
