Hum sends Kelly Johnson and its #1 to HDT for Cliff Lee.

No matter how much you want to "PUNISH" JR for his inability to pick up the proper amount of at bats, I don't see how the league nor the new manager is going to benefit from being punished for JR's actions. Why should a manager not even envolved in the violation be responsible for doing the time. This all go...

The Surprise Zombies mostly dominated the regular season again with 116 wins, but stumbled badly at the end against the upstart Brooklyn Blow Monkeys. However, Phillipsburg held off BRK by one game to take the wild card and earn a first round match-up with Surprise. PBG played SUR toug...

Bob Wickman for DanaEveland. A trade of he of whom no one believes he can keep being this good for he of whom no one can believe he's currently that awful but at least he can replace the even awfuller Josh Towers. Commish, may I suggest a sticky for trade reporting?

I request that the following rule change be voted on: change the formula to calculate A pitchers to: [(IP x 120%) + GS +SV]/10 + comp ERA/.9 stars earned in 04/05 will still apply under the old rule some thoughts behind this proposal: 1) by taking...

I would like to introduce Tim Lewis as the new general manager of the Nike Ajax missiles formerly known as the Soda Spring Straws. Tim is familiar with strat but will need to get up to speed on the minor leaguers and our rule structure. He says he likes to do a lot of trading. Please don't tr...

The worst part about this job - fine time. Very low fine totals this year; thanks everybody. Some fines that would have otherwise existed have been waived either because of the PA snafu previously discussed or for other reasons (eg failure of road managers to follow specific usage instructions...

Doug has asked if KC can be moved to the FL so that he can be in the same league as his dad. Are there any volunteers in the FL to switch to the CL?

I thought this was a problem for many years. This year 5 relievers earned more points than Santana. I think the current formula over values era and undervalues quality innings pitched. my proposal will be to set the era for A calcualtions at 4.00 each year. this year it was 4.519 an...

All - With much regret, JR has resigned from the league. We thus need at least one new owner (and Eric has mentioned that he's ready to say goodbye to SOS also). And with trading season already in full swing, the sooner the better! Any recommendations very appreciated! Thanks, -...

Game 1 - Johnson vs Clemens In a classic matchup of pitchers SOS struck first with a M Giles single and a Klesko double. They would score two in the 2nd on hits from Kendall, Branyan, and Wilson. HAR would come back to tie it up in the 3rd with a Helton walk and hits from Pratt, Freel, and Ensb...

Petty has cured most of its deficiencies in middle infield by solidifying the 9th spot in the batting order with a guy who sports an incredible .610 ops. As a result, it is now looking primarily for pitching, despite having acquired the 7 awesome starts of Fausto Carmona. Petty ha...

Davenport sends Ronny Cedeno, Joe Borchard, and Fausto Carmona to Petty for Jon Rauch and Kevin Mench.

A few months ago people were kicking around the idea of limiting the number of unlimited players you could have on a roster, but I don't remember a consensus ever being reached. Is that still alive as a rules proposal for this year? Don't really have a preference just be nice to...
