Single-Game Playoffs

With some races coming down to the wire, I have been asked to clarify the rules on the 1-game tiebreaker playoff if two teams end up tied for a playoff spot.

The Rules state "In cases of tie, there will be a 1-game playoff with the Home Team determined by coin flip.  All players will be eligible for this game."

I read the last sentence to mean that all players will be available, regardless of usage during the season (eg you don't have to reserve PA to be used in a possible tiebreaker game and even overused players are available) and little a players are also available.  I'm not sure that I think that this is a good idea from a policy perspective, but I think that the Rules are pretty clear.

In the event of a 3-way tie, we'll follow the MLB procedures as closely as possible (which I think mandates a quick round-robin, but I'll investigate the details if we end up in that situation).

Please let me know if you have any questions.
