Gm 1 - Valdez vs Francis

Both teams were held scoreless through 3 as Valdez and Francis matched zeroes.  HAR broke through in the 4th on a Suzuki walk and Harper single, followed by a Yelich sac bunt and Perkins run scoring GO.  A second run would score as Valdez was called for a balk.  The score would hold and HAR would take the first game of the WS.  HAR 2-0

Gm 2 - Lugo vs Taillon

Once again runs would be tough to come by as the teams exchanged zeroes through 4.  HAR would once again get on the board first with singles by Altuve and Burger, followed by a Yelich walk and Correa run scoring GO.  HAR brought in Diaz to hold the lead in the 6th but SSS answered with a run of their own on a Volpe HBP and stolen base followed by a Riley double.  A Yelich solo HR in the 7th helped HAR reclaim the lead and the HAR bullpen locked it down.  HAR 2-1

Gm 3 - Hanifee vs Cease

HAR put Cease in trouble early with a leadoff Yelich single, Freeman double, and Correa walk.  But Cease was able to limit the damage after loading the bases with no outs as he got Harper to strike out, got Chourio on a run scoring GO, and closed the inning with a Diaz GO.  SSS tied it in the 2nd on a Robles double, Santander walk, and Lowe single.  HAR would retake the lead in the 4th and never look back.  A 1 out Altuve walk followed by a 2 out single by Taveras and double by Yelich gave HAR the 2 run lead.  HAR added 3 runs in the 6th on a Burger double, Yelich IBB, and Lindor BP HR.  In the 8th a 2 out Yelich IBB, followed by a Lindor double, and Suzuki HR plated 3 more runs.  HAR added another insurance in the 9th on a Chourio double and Diaz single.  A Langelier triple and Lewis single put a run on the board in the 9th for SSS but it wasn't enough.  HAR 10-2

Gm 4 - Musgrove vs Lopez

Once again HAR would score first.  Yelich started the game with a single then stole 2nd base and moved to 3rd on a WP.  Freeman was able to bring him home on a sac fly with a very close play at the plate.  An Altuve leadoff HR in the 3rd tacked on a needed run.  HAR put another run on the board in the 4th on a Taveras single and Diaz double.  With a 3-0 lead HAR called on Clase in the 7th to try and bring home the trophy.  A Freeman leadoff single in the 8th led to a 2 out run scoring single by Chourio and a 4-0 lead.  Yelich added another insurance run in the 9th on a solo HR and Clase was up to the task.  HAR 5-0

It's always a pleasure playing Mike "face to face", he had a very good team but just couldn't seem to find many rolls on his hitter's cards.  HAR seemed to get rolls when they needed them to scratch out just enough runs to take the World Series.  With 121 regular season wins this was Harmony Grove's best record ever which usually means we fail miserably in the playoffs, it was nice of strat to allow Harmony Grove to bring home the World Series trophy!

On to next season!!!!

Is it worse to have a 3-1 lead in a series and blow it or to get curb-stomped in 4 games? I somehow managed to do both in the same post-season, but I'm not sure which I find more unpleasant.

Anyways, congrats to Travis. Again.
