Deadwood did fine, I guess. They made a profit while adding a few useful bats and retaining the Big Maple. Although there are other opportunities for improvement, the only big need at this point is quality RH relief. There are plenty of FA and rookie options out there, but I might as well explore the trade market too.
Primary trade bait is LH reliever JJ Romero, who's pretty good and fun, but stuck behind two superior lefties. Swapping him for a similarly valuable righty might work out. I could potentially offer other stuff too. Stranger things have happened.
The Deadwood C auction team has not been sacked, but will add C acquisition Austin Hays and venerable SP Charlie Morton to their trade block along with JoJo Romero. Primary need is quality RH relief, but a more balanced OF to replace Hays might also help. Oh yeah, cash is always welcome! Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
