Austin in the Auction Aftermath (2025 Edition)

Well, the defending champs did successfully spend a lot of cash to add 5 new players who should be helpful. However, there are still some clear opportunities for improvement.

  • SS: Good D and decent enough vs. RH that I wouldn't rather just play Oneil Cruz there
  • CF vs. RH - Good D and better vs. RH than Logan "Big Bucks" Thomas
  • LH Relief - No scrubs

Potential Trade Bait:

  • Gleybar Torres - Yes, I just spent a lot of money on him. Shut up.
  • Nick Nastrini - Young UL SP with sweet 7.07 ERA!
  • Maybe some other guys like Connor Norby or Thomas Saggese if I'm sufficiently tempted.

Nastrini is clearly not championship material, so I'm very open to considering alternative offers for him.

Okay, that's all for now. Who wants to make a deal?

Hello again! I should have also mentioned that Austin is hungry for cash after blowing so much today. Nick Nastrini is eager to make 35 starts and help someone earn a lottery pick!

IMPORTANT UPDATE: The drunken lunatic responsible for Austin's irresponsible bidding yesterday has been sacked. I have been assigned the daunting responsibility for cleaning up his mess in the trade market before our next auction.

Seeking: Cash, CF upgrade, Cash, SS upgrade, Cash, LH Relief, Cash. Oh yeah, did I mention cash? Draft picks are always a nice gift too.

Available: Gleyber Torres (love the guy but he's not an ideal fit), Logan Thomas (can replace PA for a CF upgrade!), Nick Nastrini (young UL SP must go), Thomas Saggese (talented young IF but not helping much this year).

Operators are standing by!
