Springfield has some nice cards, but not enough of them to make me optimistic about next season, so we're putting our 30somethings on the trade block and seek the ever-elusive future value. We prefer bounce-back candidates and players with upside who are near or already in the majors, but we'll consider lower level prospects. And of course draft picks and money are always useful.
The 5 most interesting trade candidates are:
Yu Darvish - pitched 195 innings and held opponents to a 256 OBP and 332 SLG. Will be an A3 this year.
Corey Kluber- a cheap alternative to Darvish, B2 contract, pitched 164 approximately league-average innings (729 OPS).
Kenley Jansen (B3) and Paul Sewald (B2) are both eager to be closers for contending teams. Sewald has a 531 opponent's OPS, Jansen 611
Justin Turner - B9 for a 3B with 788 OPS
Marcus Semien- B10, 733 OPS, this past year strat gave him a 2B1 and a SS3, don't know what they'll do this year, but do know MLB 2021 and MLB 2022 were similar in that he played about 90% 2B and about 10% SS in both seasons
Also available- Joey Votto, Kevin Kiermeier and Curt Casali
