Shiner didn't even make a single bid in the FA auction, conserving their limited resources for the IOD. I don't have high hopes of them making any deals before then, but feel obligated to try.  Shiner's biggest need is more pitchers, particularly the rare breed who combine quality and quantity. Beggars can't be too choosy at this point though and quantity may be the higher priority. We could also use another LH bat off the bench, preferably someone who can play the OF and hit in the clutch. With 17 open roster spots (including 13 Es), Shiner would also like more draft picks as this is looking like a very long draft for them now. Unfortunately, there's not much left to trade, but Shiner could part with some precious cash to address those needs and there are some players and prospects who might be expendable.
