Jasson Dominguez, Sam Bachman, Cal Raleigh and Tahnaj Thomas
Hollywoo officially waives the white flag on the upcoming season but still has big names like Bauer and Hernandez available for prospects and young guys.
Surprise management denies this trade because they never had the players involved, but Shiner management confirms their involvement. (We really have too many teams in this league that start with S.)
This was a painful one as Josh drove a hard bargain and those talented kids may come back to haunt me for many years. However, I just couldn't resist adding Stanton's big bat to our fearsome lineup along with lefty Jake McGee. Shiner does enjoy reuniting with their former players and Jake returns after playing for us from 2014-2016. Although he never played for the Zombies, he was originally a 7th round draft pick by Surprise way back in 2006! Don't pretend that you don't care.
Since I apparently care about the offseason now, I'll mention that Shiner is still shopping with SP as the biggest need by far. Upgrading from the unlimited Manny Pina experience at catcher would be nice, but SP is the priority. Since this deal only involved prospects who I didn't want to trade, the players I was shopping are all still available. The big prize is Blake Snell coming off his A contract, but wait, there's more!
