Veteran OF Justin Upton had a disappointing season, but still hit for a lot of power vs. LHP. Unfortunately, that power will be muted by this accursed temporary ballpark in Buffalo.  So he's officially on the trade block!  Upton would fit best as a LF (4) or DH vs. LHP, but does have 540 adjusted PA and will bravely use them against RHP too.  He also wants Rick to know that he's very willing to attempt RF or even CF!  In return, Surprise is seeking a player who fits better (e.g., decent pitcher, 2B or OF vs. LHP with decent defense. or make another suggestion).  Cash and picks are always nice, but they probably won't trade for prospects as the farm is almost full at this point.  SUR is also still shopping pitchers Jordan Lyles and Ty Buttrey.  Manager Joe Maddon just said that Buttrey has the potential to be one of the best relievers in baseball! However, he has no comment on Lyles.

Shiner still has adequate lefty OF Ben Gamel available and he's seriously better than almost all the FA and Rookie options, sad as that may be.
