In their latest deal with Redwood, Surprise added yet another 30-something player to their weird post-championship roster.  This time its hurler Kyle Gibson joining the Zombies along with the RDW #4 in exchange for the SUR #4 and $300K in unmarked 2-dollar bills.  Is the Surprise GM just trying to get fired so he can retire on a tropical island?  Only time will tell...

At least in theory, most of the veterans assembled are available to trade for younger talent.  Also, it looks like SUR wont need their draft picks from the 5th round onward.  They can be sold to the highest bidder in a desperate attempt to recoup some of the cash thrown around in trades.
