Surprise has made two deals, but still has plenty of useful veterans who are eager to escape the sinking ship.
Batters: Justin Turner, Mark Canha, James McCann, Freddy Galvis, Asdrubal Cabrera, Lorenzo Cain, Aaron Hicks, and Joey Votto.
Pitchers: Jordan Lyles and David Price.
I'm even more focused on acquiring young MLB talent after adding 2 more prospects. Other than the MIF, Surprise has plenty of opportunity for young talent. Elite prospects, draft picks, bounce-back candidates, and cash may also be of interest.
Given the current logjams in the MIF and farm system, I would also be willing to trade away some of the following youngsters to get young carded players at positions of need...pretty much anywhere but MIF at this point. Cash is always a nice gift too.
