The Stompers' would like to move their staff ace before the season starts, so if you are looking for an ace (albeit an older one - with some gas left in the tank) Cole may be your answer.
Veteran staff ace Cole Hamels, selected by the Stompers' in the 5th round of the 2016 Dispersal Draft, is wasting his talents in the Garden City, and says that he's had enough of stomping grapes, and has requested a trade out of Canada.
Cole Hamels - 600 is his current salary, a surprisingly low amount bid on him in FA - thats why I kept him, I believe (although I could be incorrect) that he drops to a B5 280 next year.
In MLB 2018 he logged 190 innings over 32 starts, with a 3.78 ERA and 1.264 WHIP. 8.9 k/9 innings last year, above his career average in that category.
However, the real story is, how dominant he was once he moved to the NL.
2.36 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, in 12 starts (76 innings) for the Cubs ...
Although I would love to hold onto him for next year, really, I would like to give my roster some more flexibility and youth, and I would like to trade Cole for two current major league starters, who have some upside, but the jury may be out on yet. I need AT LEAST 32 starts back in return, and ideally a little bit more, as I'm currently a bit short in games started requirements.
