Wow, it looks like there have been 17 more trades since the last one involving my teams. So I'd better try to get something going again before the trading period ends with the year.
Shiner has a pretty full roster, but there are definitely some opportunities for improvement:
Starting Pitcher - Clearly the biggest need at this point
Relief Pitcher - There's always room for more quality relief
CF Upgrade - I'm content to roll with the speedy Billy Hamilton again, but an upgrade would be nice
RF Upgrade - Mazara is adequate for now and young enough to improve, but I'd consider dealing him to get better now
Trade Bait:
CF Billy Hamilton and/or RF Nomar Mazara in an upgrade swap
OF Lewis Brinson - Rough season, but I still believe and don't want to sell low
1B/OF Eric Thames - Bearded wonder was slowed by injury, but still has some value as LH bat, particularly if Brewers trade him
OF/1B Nicky Delmonico - Uninspiring season, but that was common on the White Sox. Still young, but probably not young enough to go by "Nicky".
2B Devon Travis - Looked pretty damn good when healthy and is still young enough to bounce back.
RHP Marco Estrada - Bounce back candidate!
RHP Ariel Jurado - Young starter who should get a shot in Rangers rotation
LHP Dan Jennings - LOOGY!
LHP Jerry Blevins - Career LOOGY was weirdly better vs. RH
RHP Addison Reed - Did not enjoy his Twins debut. Another exciting bounce back candidate!
Cash - Shiner has a lot of this to throw around, which is nice
Picks and prospects? - Maybe if temptation is strong enough, but I'm very unlikely to trade my elite prospects.
Okay, that's all for now. Any more trades to be made out there? Let's talk!
