SUR and SFE Made Another Deal? WTF?

Just 2 years after shocking trading team MVP Andrew McCutchen to their hated rivals in Santa Fe for IF prospect Gleyber Torres, the bitter foes have somehow found common ground once again. This time, it's longtime ace Zack Greinke returning to Santa Fe after a very long time away. Over the past 5 seasons, Greinke has won 89 games and was a key contributor to 3 championships. However, his escalating salary just made keeping him impossible. Thanks, Zack! We would like to wish you well, but given the circumstances are forced to actively root for your spectacular failure, taking SFE along for the ride to a fiery or watery doom. No hard feelings, right?

Okay, so what did Surprise get in return for this dubious move? As with Torres, it was a young IF that I simply could not pass up. Young Amed Rosario will fill the current void at SS and hopefully that MIF duo will have many productive years together in Surprise!

As for the specific terms, SUR send Zack Greinke and $40K in resentful blood money to SFE in exchange for Amed Rosario.

After filling their biggest need, SUR is shopping for quality SP, RP and bench bats. Potential upgrades at several positions would also be of interest, although it should be noted that we have a strong aversion to taking on any more big contracts. Of course, cash is much appreciated. Available players include: DH Nelson Cruz, SS Scott Kingery, OF Dustin Fowler, OF Brandon Guyer, SS Alcides Escobar, SP Brent Suter, RP Jacob Barnes, and RP Andrew Chafin. I would also consider moving other players to improve at SP, C, 1B, RF, and/or DH.

SFE would like to excitedly welcome Zack back to the fold after 12 long years away since we traded him for.....Tom Grozelanny?  That can't be right.....

Bali management still relishes the aforementioned deal as one of the best moments of our life.

It should also be noted that spending some time near the beaches in Indonesia helped get Zach's mind back on track.

Something you should all note if you have a player on the verge of super-stardom, who just needs that one year vacation...
