Congrats to all on a very smooth and relatively quick IOD! I'm extremely happy with how it went on Strat Draft, and I hope all of you are as well. A couple of minor glitches that League Ombudsman Brasher quickly sorted out, and once the draft officially started it look less than a full week to finish!
I'm going to extend the second trading period and the cutdown date to SUNDAY 3/27. As a reminder, at that point you have to have a legal roster - no more than 60 total players (major and minor-leaguers) *and* no more than 30 cards (plus up to 5 "little a" players with no more than 100 PA or 40 IP).
The Waiver Draft will start soon thereafter. I'm soliciting opinions as to whether to do a Strat Draft waiver draft or to just send me instructions - I'm open to whatever people prefer.
The site is fully updated post-IOD so please let me know asap if anyone sees anything that looks off.
Washington votes to have a stratdraft for the waiver draft. I also would rather NOT see the unofficial start to the stratdraft, but; rather the official start only. I also don't understand why the early rounds can not included all 26 teams and instead only include 24 teams.
(1) Ken, no sure what you mean about including 24 vs 26 teams. All teams were always included. Totally agreed that there is no need for an informal period anymore - I just thought that would be good for the first time we used it for the IOD.
(2) I totally horked up the Waiver Availables list. Will try to get that sorted out in the next day or so.
The 24 teams picking each day came from your "IOD STRATDRAFT INFO AND TIMING" posting. Section II Dates and Times said"24 picks will be scheduled each day"
Ah, that was just an effect of how many picks would be required in any given day due to having a 12-hour active window with 30-minute segments. In practice we had many more picks than that every day. I could certainly make it a 13-hour window for timed picks if people would prefer.
