Kyle Schwarber was diagnosed with a full ACL and LCL tear in his left knee and will miss the entire 2016 season.
Schwarber also sustained a severe ankle sprain. It's a crushing blow for the hard-hitting outfielder and for fantasy owners who invested heavily in him this spring. Jorge Soler will be the biggest beneficiary, as he'll take over as the Cubs' primary left field. The club also plans to use Kris Bryant some in the outfield, with Tommy La Stella starting at third base on those days.
