Reeling from Strat's latest brutal rating shaft of one of their projected starters, Surprise desperately scrambled for a solution and found one with their old enemy, Santa Fe. So anyway, Surprise liberated Asdrubal Cabrera from SFE, sacrificing poor innocent Anthony Alford along with $40K to help build a little shrine in tribute to Tomlinson's "magnificence" or whatever. As part of the deal, Tom did include a hilariously empty promise about not cackling "too hard" when Cabrera inevitably falls to a SS-4 next season (like my 2014 and 2015 starting shortstops), so we have that going for us.
Therefore, we'll almost certainly be waving goodbye to Jhonny Peralta after only one season, which will leave only 3 batters from the 2015 team that still waits impatiently for a World Series opponent. Until today, I expected Peralta to be a better option than Cabrera, but Strat had other ideas. Whee!
