Okay, I should just get this out of the way also, even though the team depresses me. Clearly we sacked the idiot GM who made so many terrible decisions last offseason. I hate that guy!
Technically, the only gaping hole is at 2B, but opportunities for improvement are everywhere. Pretty much everyone at the major league level is available, but I will probably keep their few useful guys under 30. I would prefer to trade for younger major league players instead of prospects, since SHI doesn't have much room in the minors.
Anyway, here's what SHI has to offer:
SP of varying quality and quantity: RA Dickey, CJ Wilson, Collmenter, Feldman, Garza. Tropeano
Useful RP who mostly have low IP: Jake McGee, Diekman, Thornburg, Capps, Morin, Jannsen
Batters who were great recently, if not now: Longoria, Markakis, Melky Cabrera, Zimmerman, Molina (not sure I can really quit Yadi)
Batter acquired cheaply who bounced back strong: Moreland (sadly short list)
Young batters who make me sad: Billy Hamilton, Jose Ramirez
Pretty much worthless crap: Rutledge, Corporan, DeJesus, Schafer, O'Flaherty (plus a lot more who disappeared completely)
Gee, so that leaves only Semien, Corbin, and Bassitt...none of whom are really all that great. Damn, why didn't I just give up this team? Oh yeah, Mazara and Snell and more are coming! So there's that, but for now...ugh.
