Shiner's 7th round pick Nick Martinez arrived at this airport this morning to meet the team, but instead was immediately put back on a plane to Sewell. Nice knowing you, kid!
On his way to Shiner in return is veteran OF David DeJesus. He won't help much with the lofty 100 HR goal, but at least represents an upgrade from the many LF dedicated to defensive specialist Juan Perez. If you happen to be in the market for a defensive specialist (LF1, CF/RF2, -3 arm, unlimited PA), he's definitely available now! Shiner would still like to add a little RH power, preferably someone who could play 1B or LF, but I'm open to other possibilities.
