SUR-BAL Trade

The Surprise purge of their former top prospects continued today in a 2nd deal.

Jesus Montero, Dee Gordon, and SUR #3 went to Bali in exchange for Ryan Raburn, KC #3, and BAL #3.

For Raburn, this a return to the franchise that drafted him way back in 2002, but traded him away in 2003.  Andy Pettitte came over in that deal though.  At 32, Raburn is the oldest batter on the SUR roster and 2nd oldest player after the recently acquired Buehrle.  Okay, that's enough fun facts for now.

Confirmed.

Bali is obviously continuing the tradition of going after Eric, Tom or Travis' cast-offs.  Though, I have a feeling ole' Jesus may finally break the tradition of me paying them for one year or two and then dropping them.

In a very sneaky move, Bali has traded their #3 twice.  This was unintentional and a new trade is being discussed.  I'm sure you are all on the edge of your seats to see what happens next.  Stay tuned.....

After hours of tedious negotiations and name calling, a new trade has been agreed upon.

Surprise sends Montero and D. Gordon to Bali for Raburn and KC #3.

Confirmed, although losing those crucial 3 slots in the 3rd round will now force me to play the entire season under protest.  Therefore, this will be my 26th straight ARBA season played under protest.  I just didn't know any better my first year and perhaps more importantly, Tomlinson hadn't joined yet.
