Maybe we should go back and look at my suggestion of doing at least the IOD by web or email, or some format that isn't real-time.... Art made the same suggestion later, but it seems to have been generally ignored both times, the only comment that was raised against it was that doing the draft live is "fun."  Well, agreed- for the people that actually get to attend. 

I can't imagine we will ever be able to do the C/FA auction in any format other than real-time, but doing the IOD by web or email will cut the problem of finding a time that's good for everyone in half every year. 

As for New Year's Day- I've already planned a vacation from Dec. 29-Jan. 7, so no can do... that might be a solution for future years but its too late for me to do that this year and I suspect its too late for others as well.
