Well, that certainly didn't take long.  Aaron pounced quickly after yesterday's post and we wrapped up the big deal this morning.  Heading to Humble are the young and talented Pirate Trio of Oliver Perez, Nate McLouth, and Tom Gorzelanny.  In exchange, Surprise will receive Torii Hunter, Matt Clement, HUM#5, HUM#7, and $300K to help pay medical costs for our cast of 30-somethings. 

Alas, poor Oliver.  Why did it have to end this way?  Oh yeah, because you sucked egregiously in your latest Pirates season.  <sigh>  Sadly, we can't afford to be patient even though I definitely still believe in his talent.  With the sun finally setting on the Santa Fe Dynasty, ARBA is ripe for the picking...or something like that. 

Hunter gives us a true starting CF and Clement should be solid as a 5th starter.  Manny shouldn't have to move much in LF with Torri and Ichiro! out there with him! 

Now I'll update our needs again, since it generated results last time.  Surprise could use a lefty bat to join the OF/DH mix since Hunter and White aren't everyday guys.  Lopez still needs help at catcher and another lefty reliever would be nice.  I'll spare you my list of available guys from the latest post.  Okay, so who's next?
