This is easily the worst part about being commissioner. But, as we all know, having the threat of fines hanging over our heads is often the only reason that we make time to play the series and religiously watch our players for overusage.
The fines for the just-concluded season have been determined in accordance with the fine schedule I posted on March 29, 2004 (and re-posted on this Board) in accordance with the Rules. I have not received any comments on the schedule to date, but welcome any thoughts on the Schedule for next season. Per the Rule vote this offseason, any team accumulating more than $325K will be ineligible for the postseason starting with the 2006 ARBA season.
Before getting onto the fines, I will mention that several possible or potential fines have already been waived due to reasonable explanations having been presented by the owners (eg road manager misuse of players not in accordance with road instructions, computer malfunctions). I have also waived any fines on LEV since we have a new owner for that team. If anyone feels that a fine below has been imposed in error or without knowledge of mitigating circumstances, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will hear you out and your fine may be reduced or waived.
