With Adam Wainwright's untimely murderization, I find myself needing starting pitching. My preference, of course, would be to make a major trade for an ace, but good or decent starters could also have a place.
In return, I have a mix of rebound candidates, fine, quality minor leaguers, and maybe a young player or two.
Minor Leaguers
Zach Lee (LA's top pick in 2010, did very well in Low A, great stuff)
Xander Bogaerts (game-changing power from 18-yr-old SS)
Bryce Brentz (another 2010 top pick, mashed 30 HR with good AVG and OB too)
Garin Cecchini (yet another 2010 top pick, .898 OPS for young 3b)
Taylor Guerreri (TB 1st rounder in 2011)
Justin O'Connor (very rough season for 2010 1st rounder, but still BA's #15 prospect in the league)
Austin Wates (Astros 2010 1st rounder, hit .300 with tons of tools)
Plenty of others too, but note that Matt Moore isn't going anywhere and I have an irrational attachment to Bubba Starling and Jake Marisnick.
Rebound Candidates
Joba Chamberlain
David DeJesus
Aubrey Huff
Brandon Lyon
Geovany Soto
Joel Zumaya
Young Guys
JP Arencibia (only b/c I have so many catchers)
Carlos Marmol (28 yrs old, .643 OPS allowed, 34 Saves)
Max Scherzer (would need multiple SP back in a deal with him)
