After enjoying our brief reunion with Carlos Beltran (having originally drafted him back in the day), we are letting him move on with Rome in exchange for promising youngster Freddie Freeman.

"About damn time," said Beltran.  "When they brought me back, I was promised a chance to get regular playing time, and instead I get 120 at bats without ever a chance to get comfortable.  Some things never change, man.  The owner they have over there just wants a bunch of mercenaries.  No respect for guys with a history with the team."

Freeman noted that he was hoping to learn from 1b stalwarts Aubrey Huff and Russ Branyan who have more than ably manned the position for SFE for three years.
