Game - 1  Harden vs Garcia

Game featured blown saves by Gagne and Cordero.  Gagne gives up 2 runs in the 9th and Cordero gives up the tying run in the bottom of the 9th.  Games ends in the 12th on a David Ortiz hr.  Homeruns by A-Rod, Ben Davis, Uribe, and Ortiz.  Har wins 8-7.

Game - 2  Maddux vs Bonderman

Bonderman gets the win and Cordero closes the game out.  Maddux gives up 5 hrs in 7 innings of work.  Homeruns by Bellhron (2), A-Rod, Mauer (2), and Uribe.  Cliff Floyd gets injured and has to miss game 3.  Buda wins 9-6.

Game - 3  Ortiz vs Miller

This game would go 11 innings with Matsui ending the game with a hr in the 11th.  Gagne gets the win and Cordero takes the loss.  Homeruns by Matsui, Helton, Ortiz, Jones, and Mabry.  Buda would get a costly injury losing Nick Johnson for the series.  Har wins 6-5.

Game - 4  Harden vs Garcia

Garcia goes 8.2 to get the win.  Harmony Grove is quiet until the 9th scoring 5 runs and leaving the tying runs on base.  Homeruns by Ortiz and Baldelli all for nothing.  Buda wins 7-5.

Game - 5  Maddux vs Villone

Villone pitches a strong game and wins the only pitchers duel.  Maddux gives up 2 more hrs in a complete game effort.  Ortiz gets his 4th hr of the series and Bellhorn hits 2 more to give him 4.  Buda wins 4-2.

Game - 6  Wolf vs Bonderman

Facing elimination Harmony Grove send Wolf to the mound.  Being the warrior he is, he responds with an A-Rod hr and enough hits to dig a 4 run hole.  Wolf would be pulled after the inning and the ball was passed to the bullpen which threw 8 innings of shutout ball.  Harmony Grove would get hrs from Ortiz and Griffey to get back in the game.  The Harmony Grove offense finally woke up after the long flight back from Buda and finally got rolling.  Harmony Grove would force a decisive game 7 with a 12-4 win.  Homeruns by A-Rod, Griffey, and Ortiz.

Game - 7  Harden vs Garcia

It would end with the 2 aces that started the series opener.  Harmony Grove took an early 2-1 lead into the bottom of the 4th.  Harmony Grove got a hr from Helton and Buda got one from Young.  In the bottom of the 4th the Nick Johnson injury earlier in the series would cause the tide to turn.  Morneau would commit a 2 base error that would open the door for a 5 run inning.  The Pests would add 3 runs while shutting down the Toppers the rest of the way.  Gagne was brought in to end the 8th and was able to finish off the Pests in the 9th to secure the game and series win.  Homeruns by Young and Helton.  Har wins 7-4.  This series figured to be tight as Buda and Harmony Grove split the regular season games.

Congratulations to Don, he was the wild card and won more games than the other two division winners.  It was a tight series that was even more nerve wrecking because he came over and we played face to face.  With Camden getting killed by Santa Fe, winning this series provided me some comfort.
