ok, I'm gonna put him out there and see what potential offers may come.  My team is trying to compete so I'm just as content with keeping him and paying him.

I'm going to want a quality player in return....

So what positions am I looking for?  3b, C, 2b, 1b...I will entertain picks and maybe a prospect to finish off a deal.

But look at it from my perspective...the deal is going to have to overwhelm me.  If not I just keep him for the next 4 years and then put him on C at the age of 30 or 31...and still probably make a pretty good chunk of change.

His defense is just ok at 1b...but he's a .300+ hitter and usually puts up 30+ hrs a yr.  He's been an All-Star for several yrs now and will probably continue to be one for the next 8-10 yrs
