PBG has gotten to expensive to continue and must be dismantled, everyone is available with the exception of Justin Upton. WHat we have available is expensive, but they are qaulity players:
C.C. Sabathia-coming off an A haven't doen the math to see if he wil retain it, prolly will I think, but his massive innings each year certainly are hard ot find elsewhere, not to mention the quality. Sucks he is now a Yankee, though
Roy Oswalt-love him but he is coming off an A contract and it doesn't make sense ot keep him at that level when someone else can have him at the B level.
Adam Dunn-Coming off an A, haven't done the math but I don't believe he will retain it. Hate to let a Longhorn go, especially one with consistent ops quality as Dunn, but.... He also will qualify at 1b so that is good..
J.D. Drew-another consistent high quality ops guy but this one can actuallt field his position, at a hihg level at that(2). Kinda brittle it's true but its also hard to find a higher quality RF will be a b11
Derek Jeter-.330 avg .400 obp and should be a 2 defensively at ss, doesn't get better than that and for only a b15 contract (480k) he could be yours. but if he goes C, that 480k will look like a bargain..... just sayin......
Pedro Feliz-okay not the quality of the above players but he is full-time, and a 2 defensively, someone may have a need for him now and not want to bid on the C market. B9
Brian Wilson-stud closer not expensive but just don't have an real need for a 2nd. actually very reasonabble $$$$ at a B2
Chris Snyder-down year but should back bounce to return to the quality cather he has been in the past. B5
Needs- don't need catching 3b, rf, closer everything else is a possiblilty. Like NMO PBG has roster spots but not as much so so there is flexibility here.
