Surprise continued their offseason transfomation by completing trade #9, this time with Springfield.  This one could come back to haunt me very soon, but what the heck.  Surprise sends the enigmatic Oliver Perez, the health-challenged Hank Blalock, and prospect Jeff Locke to Springfield in exchange for Gil "ga" Meche and Hideki Okajima.  This is the 2nd time that I've traded Perez away, so we'll see if he comes back for a 3rd run sometime. 

Okay, so what's next for Surprise?  Well, I don't have many needs left, but do still have some players who don't really fit with the plan. 

Majors: Doug Davis, Nick Masset, Mike Wuertz
Minors: Russ Detwiler, Glenn Gibson, Casey Janssen, Adam Loewen, Jarrett Martin, Jermaine Mitchell, Chorye Spoone

Let me know if you're interested in any of the above.  I'll take cash and/or picks in return.  I'm also still shopping for a lefty masher who can play 1B, 3B, or the OF.  A good backup catcher and another quality pitcher would also be nice.
