I'm sure that's what the many Surprise fans out there are asking now after our 8th deal of the offseason sent teen heart-throb Ellsbury and a precious #1 away for another expensive veteran. First of all, thanks for your faithful support through the difficult rebuilding process. I assure you that those dark days are finally over! Sure Brooklyn has a lot of talent, but they also have A-Rod, so clearly they can't win anything.
Okay, enough of that. Let's get back to your original question.
1) I'm declaring a fire sale on minor leaguers Adam Loewen, Casey Janssen, Jermaine Mitchell, Glenn Gibson, and Jarrett Martin. There's just no room on the roster for those guys, so here's your chance to get them cheap. I'll take the 1st decent offers or the best indecent one in the next few days.
2) The top 3 in the rotation are great, but I would like to add one more quality starter to replace Perez, Davis, or Padilla. Oliver Perez should have the most appeal to someone with a good veteran starter, so bring on those offers!
3) I'm still shopping for quality relief, particularly LH, but we could still make room for a good RH reliever also.
4) Nick Masset and Mike Wuertz are cheap RH relievers who don't quite fit on our roster either. So they're available for cash, picks, or something shiny.
5) The lineup is looking good right now and there aren't any glaring needs, but there's always room for improvement. Let me know if you have any bright ideas. I'm even leaning toward keeping Blalock again, but perhaps someone can talk me out of it.
Picks and prospects could be available given the right temptation, but it's difficult to imagine anything that would pry loose the top ones.
That's all for now. Have a good night and remember to vote!
