It's been a rather active offseason already with 5 deals, but hopefully the Surprise Zombies aren't done yet. There are 2 priority areas at this point. The last deal opened up a hole in the OF, which I would prefer to fill with a RH bat as the lineup leads too far to the left right now. On the other hand, our bullpen leads too far to the right, so I would like to add another lefty reliever.
Primary trade bait includes the usual suspects: 1) Hank Blalock (Tex, 1b/3b, 309 APA, 846 OPS) 2) German Duran (Tex, 2b/3b/ss/of, 174 APA, rookie) 3) Radhames Liz (Bal, RHP, unlimited starter, rookie) 4) Mike Wuertz (ChC, RHP, 3.63 ERA, 49 AIP) 5) Nick Masset (Cin, RHP, 3.92 ERA, 69 AIP)
I would also be willing to deal cash, picks (probably not top 2 rounds), and some minor leaguers (Jermaine Mitchell, Adam Loewen, Casey Janssen, Jarrett Martin, Glenn Gibson). If you catch me in the right mood I might also be willing to part with better prospects like Ross Detwiler, Jeff Locke, Chorye Spoone. The farm is rather crowded after all.
I also still dream of upgrading over Betancourt at SS and finding a more affordable big bat to replace Huff at 3B, but am comfortable with the status quo. Right now I'm planning to keep Lopez and Casilla at 2B, but you can try to talk me out of it. Starting pitchers Oliver Perez, Doug Davis, and Vicente Padilla are theoretically available, but probably not without another starter coming back.
Okay, I'm finally done rambling now. Bring on the flurry of awesome offers!
