Proposed: During the C auction, a two-team owner cannot use one of his teams to START the bidding on a player owned by his other team. However, the two-team owner can bid normally on such a player AFTER an initial bid is made by someone else.
Rationale: When you put a player on a C contract instead of cutting him, part of the deal is supposed to be that you are commiting to keeping him at $125K if nobody bids. Currently, if you are a two-owner team, you can bid $150K with your other team and keep the guy for a net cost to you of $75K- in effect, the minimum salary to keep a guy is cheaper for two-owner teams than for everyone else.
The proposed rule closes the "75K" loophole while not preventing you from buying a player from one of your teams to the other at fair market value.
