Okay, I just can't contain the excitement as no-hitters have been few and far between in a near 20 year Austin history. As they probably should be.
Derek Lowe threw a no-hitter against Jersey Shore. The only two batters to reach base were a leadoff walk to Jack Cust in the second and a two out walk to Cust in the fourth. He then set down the next 16 in a row. NO, I wasn't scared of Cust and they weren't intentional, just so happens he has a lot of walks on his card.
The last no-hitter Austin saw, we were the victims. Don't remember the last one we threw, but it had to be at least 5 or 6 years ago. As far as I can recollect, this is only the 3rd in our history. Too bad I didn't keep records of this type thing.
