Name Change-ARBA goes international

Having reshuffled my entire team and gotten a lot younger.  Humble Manager Aaron has decided to give his players a more exciting venue to play in than Humble, Texas.

Secretly using sweat-shop labor he was able to cheaply build a stadium in Bali, Indonesia.  Although attendance will probably be low, as we will be playing baseball and not badminton (Indonesia is the top ranked Badminton country ???).  The waves, women, and drink should be a plenty.

Gentlemen, please say hello to your new BALI DAWGS!!!!

I apologize before hand for the problems you all might face in having to deal with customs, visas, and of course jet lag.  But we need whatever leg up we can get.

I seem to remember this being a thread way back when, but I am pretty sure that there used to be a rule or an understanding that franchises had to be in the U.S.  It may no longer be current,  but that is what I was told when I entered. Of course, that was back in '84. I really do not see any reason why it couldn't happen, other than tradition if that matters, assuming it is not a written rule.

The early days, ala Mandell, the rule was 'the franchise city had to be an actual city in the United States'. Don't know that it was ever written down as a rule and actually don't have an opinion one way or the other on what happens now, but the jet lag is going to be horrendous. Glad I'm not in the CL.

The only thing I personally care about is that is should be a real town/city/region and nothing obscene.

So everyone else who wants to go international, go for it.
