Go make another trade with your pops. Not sure anyone else could have gotten Hughes or Felix Hernandez, he must love you like a son...oh wait you are his son.
I may regret interjecting here, but mom and pop trades have been as much a part of ARBA throughout it's history as sandbagging seasons, me choking on #1 picks in IOD, Keith rattling sabers with whomever he can manage to tick off, Don snearing either in person or online at stupid picks, Al Ringland struggling with technology, JR's apartment smelling like marijuana, etc.
My point is I don't see the need for such animosity about it. There have always been trading cliques in ARBA. The trading cliques have usually been organized around who knows who. I think it is entirely appropriate and within the historical spirit of ARBA to make fun of the trade, then move on. So let's move on.
Wholesale your minors like trading Hanley Ramirez, Verlander, Weaver, Patton, and many others. The thing is you have wholesaled your minors and you still sucked and couldn't reach the World Series. If you could read you would see that my comment said make the World Series not win it. And yes there is a difference bewteen making the World Series and not making the World Series.
Let me put it to you in terms you might be able to understand. While I was out partying and almost got laid but only ended up with a blow job instead you were home like usual spanking it. So while I got to the World Series and lost you were sitting at home like usual. Since this example is closer to what happened in real life you might be able to make the comparison to my example easier.
Good thing you are my best friend and were my best man or people might think we really hate each other!
the only real regret is Ramirez, and yes that's a big one...I'll never forgive myself for that which is why guys like Jay Bruce, Travis Snider, and the likes won't be traded.
Actually Verlander and Weaver are tied up in the trades that ended up landing me Felix and Hughes if you went back and looked at all of them. So I think it will be a wash in the end.
Patton and Pelfrey still haven't done much. Meanwhile that terrible trade landed me a .330+ hitting Polanco.
