Thanks to all who hung in there through a somewhat rocky auction last night.  Special thanks to Kevin for keeping The Spreadsheet and also taking over the auctioning when the nasty storm knocked me offline twice before I gave up.  Clearly there's some sort of YOC curse at work here.  He can damn well ask someone else the next time he needs a substitute!

Of course, I also blame him for the drunken sailor who possessed me to spend like mad on Langerhans, Kotsay, Baez, and to a lesser extent, Guillen.  I went into this determined to fill Surprise's OF void and I did that, but now seem to have gone too far and turned it into a surplus.

Therefore, I'm officially opening up the 2nd trading period by hanging a "For Sale" sign on Ryan Langerhans, #1 in the C auction and #1 in your hearts.  Someone was helping me to bid him up!  I would also consider moving Kotsay, Guillen, Logan, Wilson, Wilkerson, and perhaps others if the price is right.  Speaking of the price, I'll be seeking some cash to ease the pain of my spending spree and I just can't get enough draft picks.  I can throw in lesser prospects if that helps and am open to other suggestions.

Okay, that's all for now.  Back to digging out of the snow and trying to figure out what the heck to do with all these guys who I just bought...

As you feverishly work on constructing those fabulous offers for me, it might help to know that Surprise could use some pitching help, particularly someone who can cut down the number of Baker and Vargas starts needed, eek!  Another backup infielder and a 3rd catcher could also be helpful, but that can wait until the waiver draft, unless you have just the right guy to dump on me.
