Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend the C/FA auction this Saturday. Thankfully, our current League Champion has foolishly, er, graciously agreed to run the auction in my place with help from his lovely assistant Kevin. Please try to be nice.
The auction will commence promptly at 6:30 Eastern / 5:30 Central on Saturday Feb 24.
As in the last few years, the Auction will be conducted via an AIM Chat Room. Eric will be online early to invite people to the Chat, but if you don't get an invite please send him an instant message or email. Please be sure to tell Eric what teams you will be representing at the auction.
The auction will start with the C Players. Bidding on C Players will commence at $150K and subsequent bids must be in minimum increments of $20K above that.
After that the auction will move on to the Free Agents. Bids on Free Agents will commence at $40K and subsequent bids must be in minimum increments of $10K above that.
As with every year, please be ready to move the auction along fairly briskly so that it doesn't go too late.
If anyone else cannot make the auction, please ask another owner to agree to make bids on your team's behalf or to make matching decisions on your C players. In the unlikely event that someone is present and is not represented at the auction, that team's C players will *not* be matched at any amount.
