C / FA Auction
(Preview)
Thanks to everyone for once again having a smooth and event-free auction (other than Brasher, who rudely bid me up on some guys and occassionally even dared to take a guy I wanted)! All of the info is now on the main page, including updated money balances and a list of undrafted FA (who will now be availa...

Shiner Addendum
(Preview)
Shockingly, I haven't made any big deals yet. So I'll take a moment to mention that SHI is also interested in acquiring draft picks and/or moving up in the draft, through cash transactions or whatever.

Shiner Firing Up the Hot Stove
(Preview)
Hello again! I'm looking over my team in the aftermath of last night's marathon auction, which featured many surprises and disappointments, as usual. Inevitably, some mistakes were made, but it could have been much worse. At least SHI doesn't have any gaping holes at this point. However, the...

(Preview)
All -The START TIME for the C/FA Auction THIS COMING SATURDAY FEB 16 will be 6:30 Central / 7:30 Eastern. Which translates to 4:30 Pacific and, because it gets funnier every single time I say it, the traditional 4:37 am Eric Standard Time. Rule Proposal Results
(Preview)
Since the board is dead I thought now would be the time to bring up something which I dont think has been addressed. I think it needs to be before the C/FA draft and people start to plan their roster out( I may have missed it as I have been busy but did do a cursory search and didnt see it). Now that we have adopt...

ARBA World Series G5 SFE@SHI - The Abomination
(Preview)
Game 5: Lincecum vs. Bedard. Oh man, do I really have to write about The Abomination? <shudder> Im not sure I can handle this, but must carry on somehow. It all started innocently enough, with SFE going back to their early scoring ways on an RBI DO by Big Papi. That lead held up until the 3rd whe...

ARBA World Series: The End?
(Preview)
Game 6: Dickey vs. De La Rosa. How could this possibly not be anticlimactic after that unreal Game 5? Actually, Im afraid to ponder that question. Lets just move on now. Okay, so how would SHI bounce back? Well, they started the game with a BB, SB, RBI DO, BB, and WP that set up Pujols with another 3...

ARBA World Series! Games 3 and 4
(Preview)
Including this as a reply to the initial post seems to have failed, so I'll try it separately instead. Fortunately, I've learned the hard way to always save these things. *** Game 3: Pineda vs. Ogando. Yet again, SFE drew first blood with a homer, this time a 2-run shot by Big Papi in the 1st. SHI answer...

ARBA World Series! No, really!
(Preview)
Given that the regular season ended almost 4 months ago and the calendar has flipped over into 2013, you may have thought that the 2012 ARBA World Series would never be played. Maybe you don't care either, but if so, why are you reading this? Huh? Anyway, the World Series did finally start thi...
