The Surprise Zombies continued purging 30-somethings from their roster by completing a deal with the Austin Assassins today. After only one year with us, Torii takes his gold glove defense and power bat to Austin in exchange for Daric Barton, Matt Wieters, AUS#2, AUS#3, and $200K. I'm still seeking new homes for Scot Shields, Adam Kennedy, Esteban Loaiza, and others. In addition, I would be very interested in trading quantity for quality (i.e., multiple good prospects or picks for elite talent). We currently have a glut of good prospects, high draft picks, and rookie pitchers. We would be willing to move some of those assets to get more attractive ones. Young talent at CF, 2B, and C would be particularly nice. Let me know if you have any suggestions. __________________
