No matter how much you want to "PUNISH" JR for his inability to pick up the proper amount of at bats, I don't see how the league nor the new manager is going to benefit from being punished for JR's actions. Why should a manager not even envolved in the violation be responsible for doing the time. This all goes back to a rule proposal I made a couple of years ago that stated" each manager must have 5 of, 6 inf and 2 catchers with atleast 600 pa per position" to start the season.
Then I guess I'm confussed why burden a new manager with fines levied against a defunct manager? What good does the league or the new manager get from his being fined. Is it only because he has the money to pay the fine?
