Lots of good talk, which is appreciated. I think we have three proposals, all relating to the C Auction:
(1) Owners owning multiple teams may not bid on a C player owned by such owner's other team
(2) If an owner owns multiple teams, such owner may only make a bid on a C player owned by such player's other team if the bid reaches $500K and may not make a bid greater than $750K on such player.
(3) Every player played on a C will incur a nonrefundable $40K fee (ie the salary will be $165K if there is no bid instead of $125K, if the player is taken in the C auction the posting owner will receive 50% of the bid less $40K, and I guess if the posting owner retains the player at a higher cost nothing changes)
Votes are due JAN 11 at 11:59 pm. One vote per owner (not per team).
I think there was an additional proposal re: multiple owners buried in the discussion:
If the Owner of the C Player declines to match, he receives (i) if the winning bid is $250K or less, an amount equal to such winning bid, or (ii) if the winning bid is greater than $250K, a refund of the 125K C contract salary + 50% of the winning bid. However, if the team with the winning bid has the same owner as the original team of the player, the amount received will not exceed $375K.
