So it's been a couple of years I think since we've gone through this, so let's see where people are these days.
My goal on the C/FA is to make it the most accessible to the most people. Some people can't do Sundays, some can't do Saturdays, some can only do mornings, some cannot do mornings, etc etc.
I can do any Saturday or Sunday, any time of day. We will not be doing a weekday auction.
So let me know:
(1) Should we keep the C and FA separate or do it all in one day (I'll do whatever the league wants but recall that it was a 6+ hour deathmarch to do it all at once)
(2) Do you prefer Saturday, Sunday, or one of each?
(3) What time of day works best for you? Does that depend on which day we use?
Let me know (by responding to this thread ideally) by the end of this week and I'll do my best to come up with a compromise that works, with a bias toward ensuring that everyone will be able to attend at least one (assuming we keep them separate)
3) Regardless of days, mornings work the best for me. It keeps my wife/family happy so that we have the rest of the day for family outings. If it was in the afternoon, I would most likely be unable to attend.
The week we do it is always a challenge for me (my mom, dad and son all have birthdays within a one week period, so there's lots of travel and craziness).
No need to change it on my account this year (I'm happy to use a proxy if someone wants to spend my very meager budget for me).
1. Separate is probably better. It gives teams a chance to reevaluate FA needs in between. However, personally, I don't mind either way.
2. I would prefer Saturday. I can be a proxy for someone on a Saturday if need be too.
3. Open all day Saturdays, but cannot do 9-12 (PST) on Sunday mornings. I've typically had a proxy for portions of the auctions in the past, which is fine with me, but could be overwhelming for the proxy given my budget and needs.
