The Austin Greyhounds continued their purge by sending Collin McHugh and $250K of Mudville's money to Redwood in exchange for Brandon Lowe and his very bad back. Our medical staff is confident that they can rebuild him and had better be right! Best of luck to Collin in Redwood. He pitched great in his one Shiner season...until the playoffs came along.
Redwood confirms. They were reluctant to part with Lowe, but like Freeman before him, the playoff failures the last two seasons forced management's hand. In the last two postseason performances, Lowe went 1 for 40 (.025) in '21 and then 2 for 21 (.095) this year.
