After drafting a couple other lefties, Shiner has determined that Joely Rodriguez must go! For this season, he has 51 AIP and is pretty tough on lefties. Using him against righties is not recommended, although he does minimize damage by keeping the ball in the park. You could do a lot worse for the LOOGY role. He also pitched much better overall after being traded from the Rangers to the Yankees and is back with the latter for this season. Shiner isn't expecting much in return at this point. I would consider cash, a moderately interesting prospect, and/or early waiver picks. Alternatively, I could offer a prospect and/or some of our very limited cash to swap Rodriguez for a better overall reliever or a decent LH bench OF.
