The first one is easy as there are no roster limits until the waiver cutdown date. At the salary decision, rosters are only limited by what you can afford. However, note that salaries for the current season are paid out immediately on the salary decision date (or when YOC processes them anyway). So there are no refunds if you end up cutting the player later. If you could tell me what you mean the "the LTC process", then perhaps I can explain it. For now, I am stumped!
An internet search provides the obvious answer: "Litecoin (LTC) is decentralised money, free from censorship and open to all. Send low cost private, secure, borderless payments to anyone, anytime, anywhere."
The process then becomes: I'm keeping Blake Treinen and paying him in cryptocurrency so that no one knows how much I'm actually paying. Trust The Process!
Mike wins! (I've got some E contract guys I'm going to cut, Mike can come and collect, if he dares). Yes, I'm looking to know when I can give a player a LTC (I know at the resign date); as in what stage of their contract can this be done (B1, B2, B6, whatever, lol). Can a C player be given a LTC the following year after he was acquired? That's about it... Thanks!
This is a relatively easy one now that the meaning of LTC has been revealed. Teams can give long-term contract (2 to 4 years) to any carded player when salaries are submitted, as long as they aren't already in the middle of a long-term contract. So it doesn't matter if the player was on a FA, C, E, or B contract in the prior year. However, the rules do get more complicated with A players, because of course they do. For example, the highest level of C bid ($1.5M+) requires an A1 2x2 contract the following season. Another fun scenario is if a player on an A contract who no longer qualifies is traded, they would go back to a B level contract based on their # of consecutive seasons on a B or A, but the new team could give them a long-term contract. The other thing to keep in mind with long-term B contracts is that if players go A, they will righteously demand that it be torn up and that they get an A instead. If you don't, the player will become a FA when it ends. Okay, that's probably enough scenarios for now, but please let me know if you have other questions.
The good news is this answers my questions perfectly. The bad news will be that I'll probably be giving Gausman one of those fancy LTCs, and holding onto him (and hoping his arm doesn't fall off as a result). But, after floundering my first couple of seasons, I think I now have a "plan" = Muhuhuhuaaa! (To paraphrase from a source of wisdom, lol).
