After three failing seasons, the Mudville Nine has decided to go in a new direction and part ways with their General Manager, the Mighty Casey. Casey, who was at one time beloved in Mudville, has failed to have a winning record in his tenure. In the past two seasons, Casey has failed to record 40 wins in either season.
In replacement, Montgomery Brewster, a former professional pitcher for the Hackensack Bulls, has been named as the next General Manager of the Nine. Brewster's first tasks will be to move draft picks (including the lottery pick) and determine player salaries for the next year. In an interview with Baseball Weekly, Brewster stated that he hopes to move most of the draft picks by the end of November if given a fair price. Brewster went on to state that he is open to trading away any player on the team (including minor league prospects). "Mudville has a rich history of trading in ARBA and I don't intend to change that. The Nine will be open to moving any player or pick for cash or players." While it is expected that Brewster will make his first trade as Mudville's CM soon, it is not anticipated that the Nine will participate in this year's draft.

When I saw the topic, I was hoping the announcement might be that Punky Brewster was being named as GM. Then again, as a Cubs fan (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0680624/), what does she know about baseball?
