Yeah, I suppose it was inevitable that I would be the first to make a post-auction trade post. Shiner went into the auction with a full roster, so their main goal was to profit from departing C players. That was accomplished well enough, but I'm less satisfied with the secondary goal of adding a couple LH OF for the bench. They technically succeeded by adding Jace Peterson and Ben Gamel for $150K each, but an upgrade would be nice. Shiner has plenty of RH OF PA, so quality is much more important than quantity in this case. Adding a better part-time OF would make Gamel (413 APA) very expendable. I also have enough RH relievers to consider parting with Wander Suero or Chris Stratton. Shiner doesn't have much extra cash, but could spare some in this worthy cause to upgrade their OF. Just in case this isn't clear enough, SHI is seeking a left or switch hitting OF, not OF to face LHP. We're set there, thanks.
